Biography

Entrepreneur and venture capitalist Oscar Hilt Tatum IV co-founded his first company as an undergraduate business student. Serving as chief operations officer for this technology firm, he played a critical role in the company’s expansion from a small start-up enterprise to a multinational business with upwards of 600 employees operating from seven countries. In 2006, Oscar Hilt Tatum IV helped to sell the business to a private equity group. That same year, he co-founded the venture capital and asset management firm iPoint Capital Partners.

Today, Oscar Hilt Tatum IV serves as the CEO of iPoint Capital. He leads due diligence of investment opportunities in South and Central America, Europe, Asia, and the Caribbean and heads investing and private placement activities. He also serves on the directorial boards of several of iPoint Capital’s portfolio companies. Over the course of his career, Oscar Hilt Tatum has founded upwards of 20 companies worldwide and led acquisitions and dispositions totaling more than $500 million. He also consults for more than 40 multinational corporations on their global operations.

Mr. Tatum completed masterclass coursework in private equity investments at the London Business School, and he is currently working toward a post-graduate degree from the University of Oxford’s Said Business School. He lives in Panama City, Panama, with his wife and two daughters.
